Who we are

Vesper (“we”, “us”) is operated by Emma and Ben. Our website is vesperevents.co.uk. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected].

What we collect directly

This website does not ask you to create an account or fill in any forms, and it does not use advertising or social-media tracking tools. The only information the site itself records is anonymous visit statistics, described under “Website analytics” below. If you contact or book with us, the details you give us are handled as described in the sections that follow.

With your permission, we may also feature photos and reviews from past events on our website (see Moments), using only material you or our event photographer have shared with us for that purpose. If you’d like a photo or review removed, contact us at [email protected] and we’ll take it down.

Booking through SpicyMatch

If you apply or book through SpicyMatch, the application, identity verification, booking and payment all take place on SpicyMatch, and your data is collected and processed under SpicyMatch’s own privacy policy, not this one. A member of our team will contact you there directly to introduce ourselves and guide you through verification. We do this personally — it is not an automated process.

Booking or contacting us by WhatsApp, Telegram or email

You can also enquire or book with us directly by WhatsApp, Telegram or email. If you do, we receive the contact details and messages you send us, such as your name or profile name, phone number or username, and anything you tell us. We use these to reply to you, take your booking, and send your ticket and event information. Payment for these bookings is made through a Revolut payment link, under Revolut’s own terms and privacy policy. The messaging services you use also process your data under their own privacy policies.

We keep a record of bookings made this way (who booked, what they bought and when) so that we can issue tickets, run our events and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We keep these records only for as long as we need them for those purposes.

Website analytics

We use Burst Statistics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that runs on our own website, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, where visitors arrive from (for example, which website or link), what type of device and browser they use, and how often key buttons such as booking and contact links are tapped. It does not use cookies or browser fingerprinting, and it does not follow you across other websites. It uses an anonymous identifier that changes daily, so it cannot recognise you from one day to the next or identify you personally. The statistics are stored on our own website’s server and are not shared with advertisers or other third parties.

Hosting and security

Our website is hosted with a third-party hosting provider and delivered through Cloudflare, a security and performance service. As with any website, these providers process visitors’ IP addresses and technical request data in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies for essential site function. Our analytics does not use cookies. You can manage your preferences at any time via the cookie banner.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold about you (such as a photo or review you’ve shared with us), and to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe we’ve mishandled your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
